Electrical Technical Service Engineer Opportunity

A fantastic chance to work with a leading company in the field of electrical engineering, supporting their ongoing operations at a major naval base. As an Electrical Technical Service Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of equipment and assets, working closely with site teams to identify and resolve technical issues.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Equipment Testing and Maintenance: Conduct thorough examinations and electrical safety tests to ensure equipment is safe for use, following in-house processes and industry standards.
  2. Defective Equipment Management: Log and repair defective equipment, maintaining accurate records and ensuring timely resolution of issues.
  3. Inventory Management: Conduct regular stocktakes to ensure consistent availability of company assets and consumables.
  4. Equipment Preparation and Receipt: Prepare equipment for dispatch and manage the receipt of deinstalled equipment, ensuring seamless logistics.
  5. Store Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized store area, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
  6. IT Proficiency: Utilize MS Office and Outlook to manage tasks and communicate with colleagues.
Requirements:
  1. NVQ Level 3 (Electrical): Essential qualification for the role.
  2. COMPEX EX and 2377 City and Guilds Qualifications: Desirable for advanced electrical testing and certification.
  3. General Warehouse Experience: Desirable for inventory management and logistics.
  4. Navy or Shipyard Experience: Essential for understanding naval operations and equipment.
  5. Health and Safety Knowledge: Good understanding of current regulations and practices.
  6. Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  7. Security Clearance: Previous/current UK security clearance is essential.
