At Eurofins UK Food Testing, we are seeking a highly motivated and organized Laboratory Assistant to join our team. As a Laboratory Assistant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean and hygienic working environment within our laboratory.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in stocking up individual workstations to achieve lean goals.
- Work aseptically and wear appropriate PPE when in the laboratory.
- Prepare supplement broths, media, and dry pre-poured media for use in the laboratory.
- Organize stock rooms and maintain stock rotation.
- Have knowledge of disinfectants and make up daily solutions for laboratory use.
- Remove waste from the laboratory throughout the day and maintain the hygiene of internal bins and waste systems.
- Familiarize yourself with relevant health and safety legislation and use hazard signs when appropriate.
- Perform other reasonable tasks as designated by your line manager.
- Experience working in a team environment.
- Good organization and time management skills.
- Effective verbal communication skills.
- Ability to self-motivate.
