Key Responsibilities:

As a Marine Engineering Consultant, your role will encompass conducting surveys and facilitating the delivery of services to ensure comprehensive surveyor coverage in designated areas. Your responsibilities will include: Gaining an in-depth understanding of all service lines and their critical deliverables. Attending incidents to evaluate the nature, extent, and cause of damages. Estimating repair costs and generating detailed reports for clients. Promoting Engineering Consulting services to both local and international clientele. Supporting marketing efforts for the business line and its offerings. Maintaining a billable utilization rate exceeding 70%. Performing additional tasks as assigned by management. Ensuring compliance with company QHSE policies, procedures, and regulations across all operational sites.

Candidate Profile:

We seek motivated and solution-focused individuals with robust technical expertise and strong decision-making abilities. The ideal candidates will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling them to effectively manage multiple tasks and challenges.

Essential Qualifications: A qualified Chief Engineer (STCW class 1) or equivalent, with substantial survey or consultancy experience. At least 5 years of relevant professional experience. Demonstrated knowledge of industry standards and the capability to apply them effectively. Strong analytical, decision-making, and technical skills with a focus on operational excellence. Proven ability to deliver high-quality work on time while managing multiple priorities. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proactive, ethically grounded, and professionally composed. Highly organized, self-motivated, and commercially aware. A collaborative team player with a pragmatic approach. Desirable Qualifications: Relevant short courses, such as high voltage training. Experience in consultancy and technical ship management. Knowledge of marine insurance, admiralty law, and surveyor qualifications. Proficiency in vessel dry dockings, machinery damage assessments, and repairs. Public speaking and professional networking experience. Membership in professional organizations like IMarEST is advantageous.
