Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Storage Engineer to join our team at Trust In Soda. As a Storage Engineer, you will be responsible for performing day-to-day Storage and Backup Administration, as well as providing opportunities to assist with project and transition work as required.

The ideal candidate will have an aptitude for Infrastructure support, a keen interest in expanding their skills in Storage, Backup, and SAN support, and a proven track record in day-to-day support and project work, delivering to high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform BAU support of the SAN environment
  • Perform BAU support of the Backup environment
  • Perform daily checks
  • Manage storage allocation and deallocation
  • Configure SAN switch zoning
  • Perform firmware upgrades
  • Manage backups, including end-to-end configuration and rerunning failed backups
  • Manage tape rotation
  • Maintain accurate documentation
  • Produce management reports
  • Implement changes according to client change management process
  • Manage problem resolution using SNOW
  • Conduct disaster recovery testing
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of Storage and Backup Administration, as well as experience with SAN and NAS environments. You will also need to be able to work in a busy and challenging environment, with a proven track record in day-to-day support and project work.
