A remarkable opportunity exists for a solicitor with 3-6 years of post-qualification experience to enhance our client's property litigation division. The ideal candidate will be eager to develop professionally and contribute to the growth of the team.

Role Summary

The successful candidate will collaborate with colleagues who specialize in property litigation and will receive direct referrals from various departments, including conveyancing, probate, and family law. A comprehensive understanding of property litigation is essential.

Our client is currently experiencing a high demand for their litigation services, necessitating the addition of a skilled solicitor to support the expansion of their dispute resolution department. You will manage a diverse portfolio of cases, representing a range of clients from private individuals to small and medium-sized enterprises.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of property litigation and dispute resolution.
  • Handle assigned casework efficiently and within established timelines.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients, adhering to client care standards.
  • Stay informed about legal developments relevant to your area of expertise.
  • Accurately record time spent on casework and ensure timely billing upon case conclusion.
  • Conduct routine correspondence, negotiations, and advocacy as necessary.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across departments to deliver comprehensive client services.
  • Analyze legal issues and provide clients with informed advice on appropriate actions.
  • Perform administrative tasks as outlined in the Office Manual to ensure departmental efficiency.
  • Provide supervision when necessary and report to supervisors as required.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge of property litigation, including landlord possession, disrepair, and tenancy disputes.
  • 3-6 years of post-qualification experience.
  • Advocacy experience at the county court or tribunal is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Experience with privately paying clients, including individuals and small to medium-sized businesses.
  • Strong communication skills tailored to the firm's client demographic.
  • Interest in business development initiatives.
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain client relationships.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively under pressure.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficient IT skills.
  • Commercial awareness.
  • Current Practising Certificate.
