Job Description

We are seeking enthusiastic and committed Science Tutors to join our team for the upcoming academic year. As a Science Tutor, you will be responsible for delivering tailored, one-on-one, and small group tutoring sessions to students within your specialist age and learning level. Your role will involve:

  • Supporting students from various schools and local authorities, both in-person and online.
  • Developing and implementing engaging lesson plans that meet the specific needs and learning styles of each student.
  • Providing additional support to students with SEN or EHCPs, ensuring that your teaching strategies are inclusive and effective.
  • Monitoring and assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, and adjusting teaching methods as necessary.
  • Collaborating with teachers, SEN coordinators, and parents to ensure a cohesive approach to each student's education.
  • Motivating and inspiring students to achieve their full potential and develop a love for the Sciences.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of the UK Science curriculum, whether specialist (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) or general.
  • Some experience working with students who have SEN and/or EHCPs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual learning styles and needs.
