About the Role

We are seeking a skilled HGV Technician to join our team at Rubber Duck Cars. As an HGV Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing heavy goods vehicles to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine maintenance on HGVs to ensure they are in good working condition
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues with heavy goods vehicles
  • Fabricate and weld components as needed to repair or replace damaged parts
  • Assemble and disassemble parts with precision to ensure accurate repairs
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns in a professional and courteous manner
  • Operate power tools and forklifts safely and efficiently to complete tasks
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed to ensure compliance with industry standards
Requirements
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, welding, soldering, and power tools to complete tasks
  • Strong customer service skills with a focus on exceeding client expectations and building strong relationships
  • Ability to assemble, maintain, and repair HGVs effectively to ensure optimal performance
  • Prior experience in a similar role is preferred, but not required
  • Knowledge of electrical systems in vehicles is advantageous, but not necessary
  • Forklift operation experience is a plus, but not required
