Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housing Needs Officer to join our team at Eastbourne Borough Council. As a key member of our Neighbourhood Housing team, you will be responsible for managing a range of tenancy-related tasks and providing excellent customer service to our vulnerable clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage tenancies within our independent living schemes across Eastbourne and Lewes, ensuring that all aspects of housing management are met.
- Work with vulnerable customers, raising safeguarding concerns and working with partner agencies to ensure their needs are met.
- Monitor and record health and safety in relation to our retirement housing schemes.
- Develop and implement personal tenancy sustainment plans, including risk assessments.
- Manage complex cases dealing with anti-social behaviour, joint partner working, and other tenancy-related issues.
Requirements:
- Experience in managing tenancies within the social housing sector or similar transferable skills.
- IT literacy and ability to work on multiple systems, including MS Office and housing management CRM systems.
- Full driving license and own vehicle for work purposes.
- Ability to work flexibly across all Lewes District and Eastbourne Borough areas.
