Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Court Usher to support the efficient operation of court proceedings at Teesside Crown Court. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of court hearings and providing essential support to all court attendees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist court clerks in creating accurate and detailed court log reports
  • Provide support and guidance to vulnerable adults and children attending court hearings
  • Take initiative to complete tasks based on hearing outcomes without needing explicit instructions
  • Communicate effectively with Legal Advisors, Judiciary members, and the public
  • Maintain and update system databases and records
  • Perform general administrative duties as required

Requirements:

  • Excellent IT and data entry skills
  • Resilience in handling potentially distressing information
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to manage challenging situations
  • Effective prioritization and planning abilities
  • A transferable DBS on the update system is highly advantageous
