The Role: Multi-Skilled Shift Technician
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Multi-Skilled Shift Technician to join our team at Royal Berkshire Hospital. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of critical mechanical and electrical systems that support the hospital's essential services.
Your Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions promptly and efficiently, following site supervisor instructions.
- Maintain accurate documentation for all work tasks performed, both before and after completion.
- Collaborate effectively with subcontractors during planned maintenance activities.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments for each step in the equipment maintenance task list, ensuring these assessments remain current and valid.
- Review and update WEI/SOP documentation regularly to ensure accuracy and relevance.
- Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to work around scheduled maintenance shutdowns.
- Participate actively in audits of mechanical and electrical plant rooms.
Your Qualifications:
- Possess a recognized electrical or mechanical trade qualification.
- Have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of various utility systems.
- Be proficient in Building Management Systems (Scada/Trend).
- Demonstrate a good understanding of Preventative Maintenance Systems.
- Have experience working within a computerized maintenance management work order system environment.
- Be able to read and interpret P&ID's and electrical drawings.
