About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team at TRS Staffing Solutions. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with clients, ensuring accurate project forecasting, and managing commercial activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients to ensure successful project outcomes
  • Ensure accurate project forecasting and reporting on a monthly basis
  • Manage and maintain commercial information related to projects, ensuring compliance with company and industry standards
  • Prepare and review monthly commercial reports and health check reports
  • Ensure accurate month-end CVR reporting and manage commercial activities in an ethical manner
  • Review and manage risk and opportunities to ensure cash-flow is maintained
  • Manage and mentor a team of commercial professionals

Requirements
  • Degree or equivalent professional qualification in a relevant subject
  • Working knowledge of utility and construction sectors
  • Working knowledge of contract law and commercial practice
  • Knowledge of construction contracts and related procurement contract documents and practice
  • 5 years' commercial experience
  • Excellent interpersonal relationship skills with a confident and resilient approach
  • Excellent commercial management skills with close attention to detail
  • Good presentation and negotiating skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent IT skills with good commercial awareness
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
  • Managing and monitoring risk
  • Honest and reliable
