Heavy Goods Vehicle Mechanic

Who are we seeking as a Heavy Goods Vehicle Mechanic:

The ideal candidate will possess prior experience as a Heavy Goods Vehicle Mechanic or in a related field such as Commercial Vehicles, LGV, PSV, Heavy Plant, or Automotive sectors.

A qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair is preferred, or you may be a time-served Heavy Goods Vehicle Mechanic.
Ability to engage in breakdown assistance is essential.
Proficiency in adhering to company protocols for completing all necessary documentation, including job cards and service records, is required.
A general level of computer literacy is beneficial.
A valid UK driving license is mandatory.
Responsibilities of the Heavy Goods Vehicle Mechanic include:
  • Servicing and maintaining a diverse range of trucks and vehicles
  • Conducting fault diagnostics
  • Preparing vehicles for MOT
  • Performing mechanical and electrical repairs
  • Ensuring repairs are executed in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and safety standards
  • Conducting road tests when necessary, subject to licensing restrictions
  • Participating in any technical or development training provided

Working Hours:
Week 1:
Monday to Thursday, 8 PM to 7 AM.

Week 2:
Tuesday and Friday, 8 PM to 7 AM.
