About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiographer Band 7 to join our team at The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our MRI department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality imaging services to patients, ensuring safe operation of MRI equipment, and maintaining strict safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert-level MRI scanning techniques and image quality
  • Undertake all MRI studies unaided, interpreting scans and using clinical judgment to optimize imaging
  • Train staff in MRI scanning techniques, including complex scans
  • Review MRI referrals using expert knowledge of pathologies and scanning techniques
  • Maintain high standards of patient care and safety
  • Ensure strict MRI safety standards for patients, staff, and visitors
  • Report scanner issues and downtime to the manufacturer and MRI Lead
  • Liaise with admin support staff and Consultant Anaesthetists to plan and perform General Anaesthetic lists
  • Communicate effectively with patients and colleagues to deliver a robust scanning service
