Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and proactive SHEQ Advisor to join our client's team, a reputable civil engineering contractor specializing in utilities and civils projects. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring SHEQ policies and procedures across multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement SHEQ policies and procedures to ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide expert advice and training to site teams on health and safety best practices.
  • Investigate incidents and identify root causes to implement corrective actions and prevent future occurrences.
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare comprehensive reports for senior management and clients.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a SHEQ Advisor in the civil engineering or construction sector, with a focus on utilities and civils projects.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation, environmental standards, and quality management systems.
  • Excellent communication and training skills, with the ability to influence and engage site teams.
  • Relevant qualifications in health and safety (NEBOSH, IOSH) and/or environmental management.
