Eastbourne, East Sussex, United Kingdom Connect Health Full time
Position Overview

This role is ideal for individuals who are committed to delivering exceptional, patient-focused care within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment.

The East Sussex Pain Services offer a personalized approach tailored to the unique needs of each patient. The successful candidate will engage in a hybrid work model, conducting in-person consultations across various locations, facilitating Pain Management Programs both in-person and online, and providing educational resources about pain management. You will be part of a dynamic team that includes physiotherapists, occupational therapists, nurses, psychologists, and medical consultants, all dedicated to a comprehensive biopsychosocial approach to treating individuals with chronic pain.

Our commitment is to provide the highest standard of care in an efficient and sustainable manner. We are looking for a well-organized Clinical Specialist in Pain Management to ensure quality clinical care for patients experiencing chronic pain. You will be responsible for thorough assessments and diagnoses of patients with diverse physical and emotional challenges, while also developing, implementing, and evaluating individualized treatment plans to ensure effective care and timely patient discharge.

We value a multi-professional workforce grounded in competency and encourage applications from qualified Physiotherapists. Candidates should hold registration with a relevant professional body and possess experience in pain management. If you are adept at managing a diverse caseload of chronic pain patients, committed to continuous professional development, and eager to enhance both your skills and the service provided, we would love to hear from you.

Join our motivated and rapidly growing team, where we prioritize competency development and offer flexible working arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess patients' needs in relation to their goals, and plan, manage, and review their functional and psychological recovery.
  • Regularly review care plans and maintain effective communication with the patient's general practitioner regarding ongoing management strategies.
  • Deliver safe, effective, and respectful care in accordance with best practices and national standards.
  • Provide tailored advice and treatment to individual patients, adhering to established guidelines.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

We are looking for candidates who possess:

  • Proven experience in delivering pain management services with measurable outcomes.
  • Current registration with the appropriate professional regulatory body (HCPC or NMC).
  • A passionate and enthusiastic approach to providing personalized care as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Insight into the broader implications of chronic pain within the community and the importance of collaborative efforts to address health disparities.
  • The ability to function autonomously within your scope of practice while delivering high-quality clinical services with senior support as needed.
  • A commitment to fostering positive relationships with local stakeholders, including charities and healthcare providers.
