About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Female Support Worker to join our team at Fir Tree Lodge. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional support to individuals with learning and physical disabilities, sight loss, complex health conditions, and autism.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct support to individuals with complex needs, enabling them to participate in a wide range of activities and achieve their goals.
  • Ensure good working practices, including understanding and awareness of health and safety, to promote a safe and supportive environment.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with individuals, their families, and other stakeholders to ensure person-centered care.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of individual support plans, ensuring that each person's needs are met and their goals are achieved.
  • Participate in regular training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge, and contribute to the maintenance of records and support plans.
  • Support individuals to maintain a clean and safe living environment, and participate in activities that promote their physical and emotional well-being.
Requirements
  • Calming and patient approach, with the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with individuals, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays, to meet the needs of the individuals we support.
  • Valid UK driving license (if applicable).
  • Right to work in the UK.
