The Opportunity:

As a Senior Project Engineer specialising in exteriors, you'll be responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of exterior systems for our innovative vehicle models. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams and external suppliers to ensure the success of our projects, and you'll have the opportunity to contribute your expertise to drive innovation and excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for Design for Manufacture and Assembly for responsible systems.
  • Own the exterior systems and attribute delivery.
  • Responsible for upholding the highest standards of geometry creation and GD&T.
  • Report to Lead Engineers responsible for the relevant commodities.
  • Prepares full project documents.
  • Develops new techniques and/or improved processes, materials or products.
  • Engineering responsibility (including design and release) of full exterior systems, including some but not all of: Bumpers, Exterior Trim, Body Panels, Accessories, Mirrors, Glazing, Washer and Wiper Systems.
  • Ensuring responsible designs meet legal compliance.
  • Identify and highlight any areas for continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Strong and proven relevant experience required in exterior systems.
  • Automotive experience essential.
  • A 'can do' attitude and are always focused on achieving great results.
  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders & drive towards a common goal.
  • A calm multitasker who successfully managed, prioritise and executes against deadlines in a rapidly changing environment.
