About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cook to join our team at Edgewater care home in Wallasey. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking delicious, healthy, and nutritious meals for the people we support in our care home.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and prepare menus that cater to the dietary needs and preferences of our residents
  • Cook and present meals that are visually appealing and appetizing
  • Ensure that all food is prepared and served in a clean and safe environment
  • Manage kitchen inventory and supplies to minimize waste and optimize efficiency
  • Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service operations

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Cook in a care home or similar setting
  • Strong culinary skills and knowledge of nutrition and food safety
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
