About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Personal Tax Accountant to join our team at TPF Recruitment. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in managing and delivering comprehensive personal tax services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Portfolio Management: Manage a diverse portfolio of personal tax clients, including high-net-worth individuals, business owners, and expatriates.
  • Personal Tax Advice: Provide expert advice on personal tax matters, including income tax, capital gains tax, inheritance tax, and trust taxation.
  • Tax Return Preparation: Prepare and review self-assessment tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with current legislation.
  • Tax Planning and Advisory Services: Conduct tax planning and advisory services to optimize clients' tax positions.
  • HMRC Liaison: Liaise with HMRC on behalf of clients, managing any enquiries or investigations.
  • Professional Development: Keep up-to-date with changes in tax legislation and communicate these to clients and the team.
  • Mentorship: Mentor and support junior staff, fostering their development and ensuring high standards of work.
Requirements
  • Qualifications and Experience: ACA/ACCA/CTA qualified or equivalent with significant experience in personal tax.
  • Client Portfolio Management: Demonstrable experience in managing a diverse client portfolio within an accountancy practice.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong technical knowledge of UK personal tax legislation.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong client relationships.
  • Organizational Skills: Proactive and self-motivated with a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
