Job Introduction

We are seeking a skilled Operative to join our team at Tarmac, the UK's leading sustainable building materials and construction solutions business. As a key member of our site team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production and despatch processes.

Role Responsibility

As a Operative, you will be responsible for undertaking all site duties safely, including receiving and storing raw materials, managing production and despatch, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. You will also be responsible for:

  • Meeting daily production target requirements.
  • Reporting data for quality purposes.
  • Moving, loading and unloading product from the plant and vehicles.
  • Meeting customer service requirements in terms of accurate loading and timely vehicle turnaround.
  • Continuous Improvement of performance standards.
  • Continuous improvement towards plant and production methods.
  • Good housekeeping.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Operative who can demonstrate a proven track record of working in a similar production and despatch environment. You will also need to possess good communication skills, be numerate, and have experience of manual handling. A FLT licence is desirable.
