Job Title: Management Accountant

Reed is seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for providing financial guidance and support to our business leaders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review monthly management packs for 1 entity and 8 individual P&L's, including variance analysis.
  • Process and review monthly journals, accruals, and prepayments.
  • Balance intercompany accounts with transactional teams, other management accounts, and group entities.
  • Prepare and sign off monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations.
  • Manage the audit process, developing relationships with external auditors.
  • Adhere to and develop internal financial controls, improving processes where necessary.
  • Work closely with individual P&L owners to ensure accurate monthly reporting and alignment with budget.
  • Collaborate with the transactional accounting team and guide them on key coding corrections.
  • Work with the Finance Business Partner on annual budget and reforecasting quarterly.
  • Complete VAT returns for the entity.
  • Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures for the company.
  • Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation.
  • Support the Finance Director and Finance Business Partner on ad-hoc projects.
Requirements:
  • Qualified with an underlying degree in finance/accounting.
  • Finalist or qualified CIMA or ACCA.
  • Transition experience.
  • Several years of experience as a Management accountant.
  • Background in transactional heavy organisations, e.g. Cargo/Aviation industry, industrial services or manufacturing.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Experience in developing a new transactional team.
  • Commercial and business awareness.
  • Strong Excel and modelling skills.
  • Ability to deliver against strict deadlines.
  • Strong leadership attributes with process.
  • Ability to work in a team.
