Job Title: Senior Project Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Engineer to join our team at Subsea7, a global leader in the delivery of offshore projects and services for the energy industry.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the efficient day-to-day running of the installation engineering team and providing regular operational reports on general project engineering activities, technical subject matters, and resource management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support a team of method engineers to follow project scope(s) from early engagement with internal and external clients through to offshore execution on board our reel lay assets.
  • Be a technical reference for pipeline installation and contribute to the sub-contractors selection.
  • Produce installation method statements and procedures, support procurement activities, and subcontract follow-up.
  • Proactively support HSEQ activities and prepare and deliver technical presentations.
  • Installation rigging calculations and rigging design.
  • Assist the Tendering department with feasibility studies, method statements, manhour estimates, schedule inputs, and costing support.
  • Support installation aid procurement, fabrication, and testing follow-up.
  • Follow your scope offshore on our installation vessels.
Requirements:
  • Degree qualified in Engineering, Marine, Naval, Offshore Technology, Civil, or Mechanical, or equivalent.
  • Extensive experience as a project engineer, with the majority from within the offshore energy industry.
  • Experience or understanding of offshore pipeline installation methods, ideally within the reel lay discipline.
  • Experience of guiding and leading teams of engineers in project scopes.
  • Clear communication skills, able to speak with all levels within the business, and comfortable working on their own and as part of a team.
