Job Summary

We're seeking a talented Software Developer to join our team at Spencer Scott - Technology Recruitment. As a PHP Developer, you will be working with a Hampshire-based company that is transforming risk management software through innovative data, technology, expertise, and innovation.

About the Company

Our client is a leading provider of risk management software, utilizing a data-driven approach that combines open-source data, AI technology, and world-leading analysis to deliver instant situational intelligence. This enables their clients to make informed decisions about their risks as they emerge and change.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain software applications using PHP and the Laravel Framework.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize software development projects.
  • Implement software engineering principles, including unit testing, change management control, and SOLID principles.
  • Work with Agile development processes, emphasizing adaptability, collaboration, and a customer-centric approach to software development.
  • Develop and maintain software using Object-Oriented Design Patterns and Software Engineering Best Practices.
  • Work with React.Js and TypeScript, and have strong SQL experience.
  • Contribute to the development of software solutions that meet the needs of our clients.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of PHP and the Laravel Framework.
  • Experience with software engineering principles, including unit testing, change management control, and SOLID principles.
  • Familiarity with Agile development processes.
  • Experience with software development ecosystems, including IDEs, version control, and test automation.
  • Strong SQL experience and experience with C# is a plus.
