About the Role:

We are seeking an ambitious and motivated Apprentice Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at Anderson Green Ltd, a leading privately owned Building Services Consultancy. As an Apprentice, you will have the opportunity to learn from an experienced team and work on a wide range of projects across various sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing, sizing, and selecting electrical systems using various calculation software packages
  • Implementing sustainable technologies into the electrical design
  • Production of three-dimensional models, drawings, specifications, and reports
  • Preparing load calculations and applying for utility connections
  • Coordinating design with colleagues from other disciplines
  • Referring to industry design guides, British Standards, and Building Regulations
  • Attending client, design team, and project meetings
  • Undertaking feasibility studies and surveys

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • A Levels in maths, science, or design subject (not essential)
  • GCSE grade 4 or above (grade A-C) in maths, English, and a science or design subject
  • Confident with Microsoft Office, predominantly Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Willingness and ability to use design software
  • Looking for a career in building services and utility network design
  • Appetite to learn and develop
  • Interested and confident to ask questions
  • Good time management, organised with a flexible attitude
  • Be a team player, but able to operate at an individual level
  • Responsible, punctual, reliable, and hard-working

Training and Development:

  • Training will be provided 'in house' supported by our experienced design engineers
  • Day release college placement
  • Support and mentoring will be provided to obtain professional membership (IET & CIBSE)
  • Full time employment (40 hours per week)
