About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Development Underwriter to join our dynamic team at SPE Travelers Management, LTD. As a key member of our underwriting team, you will be responsible for producing and underwriting new and renewal business from our valued brokers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Underwrite and assess risk for products and accounts from assigned brokers, making sound decisions within your underwriting authority.
  • Consistently manage your book of business, maintaining quality and adhering to regional or product underwriting strategy.
  • Develop and execute sales plans for assigned brokers, identifying and capturing new business opportunities and cross-selling TICL products.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with colleagues in Head Office, Risk Control, Claims, Actuarial, and other parts of the organization.
  • Act as a responsible business partner with assigned brokers and clients, managing their interests and seeking out new business opportunities.
Requirements
  • University degree and/or Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) Advanced Certification or Diploma preferred.
  • General knowledge of industry business operations, critical business issues, and financial drivers that affect the Line of Business.
  • General knowledge of the local insurance marketplace and the ability to use that knowledge to the Company's advantage.
  • Previous experience of underwriting in management liability/professional indemnity/financial institutions required.
