Salary: £36,648 - £40,221 per annum

Suffolk County Council is dedicated to providing vital community services and positively impacting the lives of residents. We are currently seeking a dedicated professional to take on the role of Team Leader for Choice-Based Lettings within our Housing Needs Division.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate effectively within the Housing Needs Management Team, contributing to budget development and oversight, as well as performance and risk management.
- Serve as the Council's authority on all issues related to Allocations and Voids, ensuring compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and legislative frameworks.
- Exercise sound judgement in evaluating individual housing applications, particularly concerning medical and welfare considerations.
Essential Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of Allocations and the ability to apply this expertise to diverse cases. A thorough understanding of Welfare Benefits, including universal credits and housing costs, is crucial. Experience in managing an allocations team, overseeing multiple complex cases, and effectively prioritizing tasks is essential.
