Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to join our team at our Hatfield Distribution Centre. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective management of our warehouse operations, ensuring that products are delivered to our customers in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Warehouse Management
    • Oversee the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
    • Manage and coordinate the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, ensuring that all products are handled and stored in accordance with company policies and procedures.
    • Monitor and control inventory levels, ensuring that stock is accurately counted and recorded.
  • Team Leadership
    • Lead and motivate a team of warehouse staff, providing guidance and support to ensure that they are equipped to perform their roles effectively.
    • Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of warehouse staff.
  • Quality and Safety
    • Ensure that all products are handled and stored in accordance with company quality and safety standards.
    • Monitor and control the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure that all staff are aware of and comply with safety procedures.
  • Operational Efficiency
    • Identify and implement opportunities to improve operational efficiency, reducing costs and improving productivity.
    • Monitor and control expenses, ensuring that all costs are accurately recorded and reported.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a warehouse management or logistics role.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and implement opportunities for improvement.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on customer service.
  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems and procedures.
