We are seeking a Lead Systems Engineer to become a vital part of our dynamic Engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing solutions that enhance our railway products, ensuring they meet stringent reliability and safety standards.

This position offers the chance to engage in various phases of the systems life cycle, showcasing your expertise across a range of innovative projects.

Your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Leading the creation and enhancement of tools and methodologies within the organization, including requirements gathering, planning, specifications, design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
  • Ensuring that tools and processes are effective and facilitating ongoing improvements through regular assessments and proactive suggestions.
  • Mentoring and guiding team members while maintaining an understanding of business operations to support both new and existing products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and assess system design specifications, ensuring alignment with safety and industry regulations.
  • Perform system modeling, simulation, and analysis to enhance performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate signalling systems into the broader railway infrastructure.
  • Lead or contribute to signalling projects, ensuring compliance with project timelines, budgets, and quality benchmarks.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements and provide consistent project updates.
  • Support procurement efforts, including the technical evaluation of suppliers and equipment.
  • Offer technical guidance on solid state interlocking and signalling issues to internal teams and clients.
  • Act as a subject matter expert during meetings, workshops, and technical evaluations.
  • Assist in the development of engineering standards and best practices.
  • Investigate and resolve intricate technical challenges related to railway signalling systems, minimizing operational disruptions.
  • Formulate and implement maintenance strategies to optimize system performance and availability.
  • Contribute to the continuous enhancement of maintenance processes and protocols.
  • Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations clearly and concisely.
  • Maintain accurate records of system designs, modifications, and maintenance activities.
  • Support the creation of project proposals, feasibility assessments, and technical specifications.
  • Stay informed about the latest advancements in railway signalling technology, standards, and regulations.
  • Participate in relevant conferences, seminars, and training programs to further develop knowledge and skills.
  • Share knowledge with colleagues and contribute to the growth of the engineering team.

The ideal candidate will possess substantial experience in the Railway Signalling Industry, with a strong understanding of Solid State Interlocking Systems. A comprehensive knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations, along with a solid grasp of systems engineering principles, is essential.

Applicants should hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Systems Engineering, or a related discipline, along with professional certification or accreditation in railway signalling (e.g., IRSE License). A Master's degree or Chartered Engineer status would be advantageous.
