Healthcare Central London Ltd (HCL) operates as a GP Federation, representing 33 General Practices in the Central London area. Our organization supports four Primary Care Networks (PCNs) and manages several NHS contracts, including services in dermatology, cardiology, and secondary care referrals.

We are the host employers for a diverse and expanding team under the Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme (ARRS), which includes Clinical Pharmacists, Physiotherapists, Dieticians, and more.

ROLE SUMMARY

In response to our service expansion, we are looking for a committed and skilled Salaried General Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in delivering exceptional primary care services and collaborating with healthcare professionals to enhance patient well-being.

This role may include a combination of in-person and remote work.

The Salaried GP will be part of the clinical team, providing essential appointments and managing a registered patient list with a focus on continuity and case management. Responsibilities will evolve in line with NHS GP Contracts and may adapt as services change.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As a member of our clinical team, you will:

  • Ensure clinical continuity for patients in critical situations.
  • Engage in learning events, audits, and collaborative projects.
  • Adhere to established prescribing practices and team protocols.
  • Contribute to improving practice systems and support continuity of care.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and respect multidisciplinary teams.
  • Stay informed about new guidelines and manage time effectively.

SESSION STRUCTURE

Sessions consist of clinical appointments, digital triage, and flexible remote administrative work. Appointment lengths are typically 15 minutes, with double appointments available for complex cases. Regular clinical meetings and additional educational sessions are scheduled to foster team collaboration.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintain awareness of and comply with practice policies, contribute to clinical audits, and engage in training opportunities as needed.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Experience:

  • Essential: Experience in UK General Practice and working with vulnerable populations.
  • Desirable: 2+ years of clinical experience and familiarity with relevant IT systems.

Qualifications:

  • Essential: GMC Registered, qualified General Practitioner (MRCGP or equivalent), and clear enhanced DBS check.

Skills:

  • Essential: Strong communication, IT proficiency, and ability to work autonomously.
  • Desirable: Leadership skills and innovative use of IT in patient care.
