About the Role

We are seeking highly motivated and dedicated individuals to join our team as Special Constables, working closely with regular officers to maintain law and order in local communities.

As a Special Constable, you will have the same powers and wear the same uniform as a regular police officer, receiving comprehensive training and gaining a thorough understanding of various aspects of police work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work alongside regular officers to police local communities
  • Participate in frontline police work, including response and patrol duties
  • Conduct house-to-house enquiries and help prevent vulnerable individuals from becoming victims of crime
  • Patrol in crime hotspots and take part in crime-prevention initiatives
Requirements

To be eligible for this role, you must:

  • Meet our eligibility criteria
  • Pass the assessment process
  • Undergo a medical examination and pass a fitness test (repeated annually)
