Position Overview
This role is designed as a collaborative teaching position, where the selected candidate will work closely with a co-tutor to plan, deliver, and facilitate educational experiences in Geography and the Built Environment. Responsibilities include crafting lectures and educational materials, leading seminars, supervising student research, conducting assessments, and ensuring the effective operation of the course.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver engaging lectures and seminars.
- Supervise and support student research projects.
- Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with fellow educators to enhance the learning experience.
- Manage course logistics and ensure smooth delivery of content.
This is a part-time position with a salary range of £42,000 to £50,000, inclusive of London Allowance, on a pro-rata basis.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in undergraduate teaching within a prestigious academic environment. A PhD in a relevant field is required, although candidates nearing completion of their thesis may also be considered. A first degree in human geography, architecture, urban studies, sociology, or related disciplines is essential.
