Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Controls Engineer to join our team at Antony James Recruitment Ltd. As an Electrical Controls Field Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and specifying electrical controls for high-pressure hydraulic equipment, as well as programming PLC systems for control systems.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design and specification of electrical controls for high-pressure hydraulic equipment
  • PLC system design and programming for control systems
  • Collaboration with customers on specifications and design
  • Preparation, assistance, and presentation to potential customers
  • Liaison with suppliers on technology requirements
  • Liaison with our sales team on technical support and pre-sales design and information

Requirements:

  • HND/degree or equivalent apprentice training
  • Proven experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge and understanding of Siemens S7 (TIA Portal) desirable
  • Proven experience in PLC programming - ladder, high-level programming such as SCL
  • Experience in WinCC and HMI designs
  • Knowledge of electrical controls legislation (regs, LV directive) essential
  • Rockwell PLC platforms not essential but would be an advantage
  • Microsoft 365 (Office Tools)
