Job Title: Loss Prevention Specialist

Huboo is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Loss Prevention Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our security and risk management team, you will play a crucial role in minimizing losses and ensuring the integrity of our inventory.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the development of emergency crisis planning for sites within your area of responsibility.
  • Conduct risk assessments on clients' stock to identify potential vulnerabilities and implement proactive measures to minimize losses.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to establish effective measures to prevent damage to clients' stock.
  • Work closely with the Stock Investigations team to investigate lost stock and identify root causes.
  • Liaise with local law enforcement agencies to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Evaluate and enhance company policies to prioritize loss prevention and minimize risks.
  • Conduct audits to ensure compliance with security and loss prevention standards.
  • Interrogate stock systems to identify discrepancies and anomalies.
  • Generate reports and provide recommendations for risk mitigation.
  • Stay up-to-date with local and international security and loss prevention risks.
  • Interview colleagues in cases of suspected theft or policy breaches, in accordance with relevant employment laws.
Requirements:
  • Experience in security and loss prevention, preferably in a similar role.
  • Understanding of fire, intruder, access control, and CCTV systems from a minimum design standard and usage.
  • Basic understanding of employment law, PACE, and GDPR.
  • Experience in detailed investigations relating to inventory systems.
  • Ability to undertake interviews with colleagues and third parties to establish facts of loss, in line with employment and criminal laws.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to understand different systems and client requirements.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Publisher software packages.
  • Strong reading, writing, and communication skills.
  • Confidence to communicate effectively and respectfully.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in sensitive matters.
  • Full driving license and access to transport.
