Join Our Team as a Senior Environmental Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Environmental Specialist to join our team at AtkinsRéalis. As a key member of our Environment, Waste and Radiological Services capability group, you will play a critical role in supporting our UK new build clients, providing specialist advice, and delivering environmental and waste management documentation required to demonstrate compliance with nuclear site licence and environmental permit conditions.

As a Senior Environmental Specialist, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of technical projects within a team who specialise in Environmental Services and Waste Strategy Consultancy. You will support our UK clients at defence facilities, generation stations, decommissioning sites, and apply your UK industry knowledge to overseas projects and international clients operating within the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialist advice on environmental permitting and Best Available Techniques (BAT) assessments, waste management strategy development, and radioactive waste characterisation and inventory.
  • Support our UK new build clients in delivering environmental and waste management documentation required to demonstrate compliance with nuclear site licence and environmental permit conditions.
  • Work with our team to develop and implement effective waste management strategies and environmental policies.
  • Collaborate with our clients to identify and mitigate environmental risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
