Key Responsibilities
  • Clinical Duties
    • Manage patients with chronic diseases and long-term conditions, providing personalized care and treatment plans.
    • Undertake cytology screening as part of the national screening program, ensuring accurate and timely results.
    • Provide travel health advice and administer vaccinations, promoting healthy travel practices.
    • Deliver the national immunization and vaccination schedule for children and adults, protecting our patients from preventable diseases.
    • Undertake contraceptive reviews, providing comprehensive reproductive health services.
    • Conduct health promotion activities, educating patients on healthy lifestyle choices and disease prevention.
    • Perform venepuncture and select, carry out, and interpret results of specific tests, ensuring accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.
    • Lead anticoagulation clinics, interpreting blood tests and dosing medications to ensure safe and effective treatment.
    • Act as a chaperone when required, providing a safe and supportive environment for patients.
  • Administrative and Support Duties
    • Maintain accurate patient records, using agreed Read Codes to ensure seamless data entry.
    • Complete all necessary documentation associated with patient healthcare, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Collect data and participate in regular practice audits and research projects, contributing to the improvement of patient care.
