Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our technical team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our Nutanix and Fortinet infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable and secure infrastructure solutions
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues
  • Monitor and manage infrastructure performance and alerts
  • Proactively identify and mitigate infrastructure risks
  • Document infrastructure procedures and processes
  • Lead technical projects and client migrations
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and industry trends
  • Participate in the 24/7 On-Call rota
  • Act as an escalation point for 1st Line Engineers, providing troubleshooting assistance and Root Cause Analysis
  • Manage firmware and software updates in accordance with client maintenance windows

Technical Requirements

  • Firewalls – Fortigate/Cisco ASA/Draytek
  • Switches – Cisco Nexus/FortiSwitch/Meraki
  • Servers – HP/Dell
  • Hyper-Converged Infrastructure - Nutanix
  • Virtualisation – Vmware, AHV, Hyper-V
  • Storage – Nutanix/Tegile/QNAP
  • Backup – Veeam Backup and Replication, iLand(11:11), HYCU

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining Hyper-converged infrastructures or equivalent
  • Strong understanding of Nutanix and Fortinet technologies
  • Experience in data centers, server hosting, IP networking, security, storage & backup solutions
  • Experience with cloud computing technologies such as AWS or Azure
  • Experience using MDM solutions such as Microsoft Endpoint Manager
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and customer-facing skills

Pre-Sales Side

  • Work with the sales team on specific opportunities to provide technical presence during commercial meetings
  • Define and design the most suitable solution for each opportunity, researching alternatives or complimentary services as needed
  • Deliver product training and updates on features and benefits to the sales team
  • Update and maintain effective commercial documentation and diagrams for use in proposals, tender templates, and marketing collateral
  • Maintain an up-to-date and efficient demo environment for client meetings and presentations
  • Work proactively with the Managing Director and Sales Team to progress existing opportunities and identify new ones within untapped markets or the existing customer base
  • Develop and implement a more efficient audit process and documentation, providing training to both sales and technical teams
