Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all administrative, financial, and support services within the school.
  • Oversee the school's budget, including preparation, monitoring, and financial reporting to the leadership team and governing body.
  • Develop and implement effective policies, systems, and procedures to enhance school operations.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, health, and safety regulations across the school site.
  • Manage the school's facilities, including site maintenance, security, and ICT networks.
  • Provide advice and recommendations to the leadership team on financial planning, investment, and strategic development.
  • Lead and motivate support staff, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
  • Maximize income through external funding opportunities and ensure best value in procurement and service provision.
  • Promote the school within the local community, building positive relationships with stakeholders, suppliers, and external agencies.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in managing financial, administrative, and operational functions within a school or similar setting.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams and working with diverse groups of people.
  • Solid understanding of budget management, financial reporting, and compliance with legal and health & safety requirements.
  • Experience in developing and implementing policies and procedures to improve efficiency.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to advise and report to senior leadership and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient in using modern information management systems, including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
