Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team and work across primary schools in Castleford and the surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver planned lessons and educational activities in the absence of the class teacher.
  • Support the development of students' academic, social, and emotional growth.
  • Assist with classroom management and maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Work with small groups or individual students to provide targeted support.
  • Assist in the assessment and tracking of student progress.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff to develop and deliver engaging learning experiences.
  • Provide feedback to teachers and participate in staff meetings and training sessions.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant or similar role.
  • Relevant HLTA qualification or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in various educational settings.
  • A genuine passion for education and helping students achieve their full potential.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
