We are currently seeking a Materials Manager to contribute to their mission of sustainable growth through innovative product development. This role will be based in their Avonmouth office, where you will oversee the supply chain operations at the site, focusing on material procurement and goods planning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and coordinate deliveries and production schedules to meet targeted inventory levels while ensuring exceptional customer service.
• Manage orders and maintain control over stock levels.
• Analyze slow-moving inventory and supplier delivery performance.
• Propose innovative ideas to enhance processes, policies, and procedures.
• Oversee the preferred supplier list, collaborating with Group Directors to achieve cost efficiencies on raw materials.
• Order and manage stock of personal protective equipment (PPE), consumables, and hygiene products required on-site.
• Collaborate closely with the Shift Manager and Logistics team to optimize supply chain efficiency and minimize operational downtime.
• Review and establish target inventory levels based on sales forecasts and historical data.
• Create daily goods plans, monitoring factory performance, stock levels, and downtime to ensure effective planning aligned with demand trends.
• Ensure accuracy in third-party logistics and supply contracts.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Demonstrated experience in a materials control or scheduling role.
• Strong commercial acumen.
• In-depth knowledge of packaging procurement.
• Experience in food production is preferred.
• Able to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Proficient in IT, particularly with Microsoft Office and Sage software.
• Personable and analytical, with the ability to work collaboratively and challenge existing norms.
