We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our Corporate Affairs team as a Communications Manager in Food & Drink. This exciting opportunity will enable you to make a significant impact in shaping and delivering our Win in Food strategy.
Key Responsibilities- Lead key campaigns and projects to support the delivery of the Win in Food strategy, showcasing food and drink innovation and value offered at Sainsbury's.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify strategic opportunities and develop effective PR plans, serving as the PR lead for all food campaign activities.
- Manage the Food & Drink Comms Assistant, oversee agency relationships, draught press materials, support media training, and maintain strong media contacts.
- Ensure joined-up communication with internal channels, manage campaign budgets, consult on reputational issues, and collaborate with other External Communications teams to maximise PR opportunities.
- Strong background in consumer PR and a proven track record of executing successful campaigns for big brands in a fast-paced environment.
- Strategic mindset and ability to consult with internal stakeholders to develop PR plans that deliver effective results, supporting the broader business objectives of our Food & Drink team.
- Exceptional project management skills, ensuring that campaigns are well-managed, deadlines are met, and budgets are effectively utilised.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to draught compelling press releases, statements, and presentations.
- Strong media contacts and experience in media relations, enabling you to build productive relationships with key media contacts.
- Attention to detail, self-starting nature, and solution-oriented approach, contributing to your ability to drive strong results and deliver quality coverage in target media outlets.
