Cable Jointer

We are seeking an experienced Cable Jointer to join our Southern Electric Power Distribution team in central southern England and the north of Scotland.

• Carry out jointing, cabling, and excavation work on our HV & LV Network
• Be responsible for the safety of yourself and colleagues, and act as an ambassador for a strong safety culture
• Respond quickly to emergency situations and work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Act as a strong ambassador for SSE Power Distribution, providing excellent customer service

• DNO Industry experience in the UK or overseas with a recognised cable jointing qualification
• Proven track record in construction, repair, and operation of electrical plant and equipment up to 11kV
• Flexible approach to out of hours standby duties and short notice work
• High regard for safety and strong communication skills
