About the Role

The Achieving for Children organization is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to fill the position of D1 Home to School Transport Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of special educational needs (SEN) children between their homes and schools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure vehicles are properly maintained and equipped to meet the needs of SEN children
  • Develop and implement efficient transportation routes and schedules to minimize delays and ensure timely arrivals
  • Work closely with passenger assistants to ensure the safety and well-being of all passengers
  • Collaborate with the Achieving for Children team to identify and address any transportation-related issues or concerns

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess a strong passion for working with children and young people, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will also have experience working with vulnerable populations and be able to demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality services.
