Principal Package Engineer Opportunity at Wood

Wood is actively seeking a Principal Package Engineer to enhance our team. This role will engage you in significant offshore initiatives within the Oil & Gas and Renewable Energy sectors. The position will be based on a temporary agency contract with a flexible work arrangement.

Key Highlights:

  • Specialization in equipment related to chemical injection and water management

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create detailed data sheets for vendor packages, including process and rotating machinery
  • Establish mechanical specifications throughout various project stages
  • Assess equipment dimensions and weight for optimal layout planning
  • Manage requisitions for critical Long Lead Items
  • Evaluate bids from equipment vendors and compile assessment reports
  • Assist with budget inquiries and financial estimates
  • Offer specialized knowledge on Package equipment issues

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Significant experience in Front End Engineering Design (FEED) for Oil & Gas and Energy sectors
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Knowledge of relevant API and ASME standards
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
