Job Summary
We are seeking a Depot Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our storage and repair & maintenance facilities. The successful candidate will work closely with depot management and stock control functions to ensure the availability of products that meet company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage stock, forecast demand, and make investment proposals to ensure optimal inventory levels.
- Lead multi-disciplined teams to implement operational processes, improve quality, and increase efficiency.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to meet customer expectations.
- Implement and maintain health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with the IT department to ensure seamless integration of systems, including the Insphire ERP System.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a fast-moving plant and equipment rental business.
- Demonstrable experience in managing stock, forecasting demand, and making investment proposals.
- Proven track record of managing multi-disciplined teams and implementing operational processes.
- Excellent numeracy, literacy, and communication skills.
- Proficient in the use of IT packages, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Desirable Qualifications
- Previous experience in managing depot and rental fleet operations within a formwork & falsework rental business.
- Working knowledge of PUWER and LOLER regulations.
- Project management processes and planning & scheduling techniques.
