Make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals by taking on the role of a Support Practitioner with The Richmond Fellowship Scotland. You will be instrumental in providing assistance to those who require support within our communities.

We are pleased to offer both Full Time and Part Time Support Practitioner positions within our Dumfries team. Please note that we do not have Bank contracts available.

Opportunities exist within both our community outreach team and our facility-based services.

No prior experience in care is necessary to apply, as we are committed to investing in your professional development and will provide comprehensive training through our esteemed learning and development team before you begin.

Requirements :

Due to the nature of our services, we can only consider candidates who possess a valid UK driving licence and have access to their own vehicle. Travel expenses incurred during your shift will be reimbursed, and a fuel allowance of 45p per mile will be provided.

Role Responsibilities :

As a Support Practitioner, your duties may include:

· Community Engagement - Supporting individuals in participating in community activities by organizing and accompanying them to various recreational outings such as day centres, cinema visits, swimming, etc.

· Personal Assistance - Aiding individuals in maintaining their health and wellbeing by promoting personal care, which includes help with bathing, dressing, and arranging medical appointments.

· Daily Living Support - Assisting individuals in managing their living situations by encouraging participation in daily household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, cooking, and shopping.

All successful applicants for the Support Practitioner role will receive a conditional offer, subject to satisfactory references and PVG checks. Having a conviction does not automatically disqualify you from working in this field.

New employees will be required to register with the SSSC within six months of their start date.
