Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team at Gravity Recruit. As a key member of our purchasing team, you will be responsible for sourcing and supplying specific products to meet the demands of our clients.

Main Responsibilities

  • Sourcing and Supply Chain Management: Identify and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best possible prices and terms for our clients.
  • Procurement Planning: Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet the needs of our clients, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of products.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels to ensure that stock is readily available to meet sales demand without excess stock.
  • Travel and Representation: Travel to visit exhibitions, suppliers, and clients in the UK and internationally, representing Gravity Recruit and building relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Administrative Duties: Process purchase orders, manage databases, and maintain accurate records to ensure efficient and effective procurement processes.

Requirements

  • Commercial Acumen: Proven ability to negotiate and secure the best possible prices and terms with suppliers.
  • Business Skills: Strong business acumen, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Education and Qualifications: Degree-level education, ideally with a focus on business, procurement, or a related field.
  • Professional Qualifications: CIPS qualification or equivalent, with a strong understanding of procurement principles and practices.
  • Travel and Adaptability: Willingness to travel extensively, both domestically and internationally, with limited notice.
  • IT Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with experience of Microsoft Business Central an advantage.

Package

£26,290 per annum, plus benefits.
