Job Summary

Randstad Staffing is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Fabric Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a Fabric Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing the building's fabric, ensuring that all facilities are kept in optimal condition to support a safe and productive working environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Perform routine maintenance tasks on the building fabric, including carpentry, plastering, painting, and general building repairs.
  2. Conduct regular inspections of the premises to identify and address potential issues before they escalate.
  3. Carry out minor electrical and plumbing repairs, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  4. Assist with the installation of fixtures and fittings, such as doors, windows, shelving, and signage.
  5. Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner, prioritizing tasks based on urgency.
  6. Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with clients' policies and procedures.
  7. Maintain accurate records of work carried out, materials used, and time spent on each task.
  8. Collaborate with other maintenance staff and contractors to ensure the smooth operation of the facilities.
  9. Adhere to health and safety guidelines, ensuring a safe working environment for all building occupants.
Requirements:
  1. NVQ Level 2 in a relevant trade (desirable but not essential).
  2. Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within a facilities management or building maintenance environment.
  3. Strong skills in general building maintenance, including carpentry, plastering, and painting.
  4. Basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems.
  5. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  7. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  8. A commitment to providing high-quality service and maintaining high standards.
  9. A full UK driving licence is desirable.
