The Lead Cost Consultant Role

This exciting position will allow the Lead Cost Consultant to become an integral part of a vibrant team of Quantity Surveyors, within a larger group of professionals.

The successful candidate will take on a dual role, managing both Quantity Surveying and Employer's Agent duties across a variety of Social Housing initiatives.

This role provides a balanced mix of office, site, and remote work, typically requiring three days at the office or site and the remainder from home, with all projects conveniently located within the Northwest region, ensuring an excellent work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

The ideal Lead Cost Consultant will possess a proven track record in Employer's Agent services for Social Housing projects.

The consultancy is dedicated to offering significant career advancement opportunities up to the Associate Director level, along with comprehensive support for professional development and Chartership through their esteemed internal APC program.

Candidate Profile

As a Lead Cost Consultant, you will be a proactive individual who thrives in a collaborative and supportive environment and is eager for career progression and personal development.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A construction-related degree qualification (preferably BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying)
  • Previous Quantity Surveying experience within a UK Construction Consultancy
  • Experience managing Social Housing projects from inception to completion
  • Experience in an Employers Agent capacity
  • MRICS is highly desirable or candidates seeking support to achieve chartership
