ClearCase Administrator Job Description

Job Title: ClearCase Administrator

Location: Hybrid (Remote and On-Site)

Rate: £450

Duration: 6 months

Number of Positions: 1

Role Overview:

Honeywell is seeking a skilled ClearCase Administrator to join its team for a 6-month hybrid contract. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the administration and maintenance of key source control management systems, supporting projects critical to our industry-leading clients. You will work with cutting-edge technology, managing environments that rely on ClearCase, Git, SVN, and bug-tracking systems such as ClearQuest or Jira.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer and maintain ClearCase, ClearQuest, Git, SVN, and other version control systems.
  • Handle UCM ClearCase planning, administration, and troubleshooting.
  • Administer VOB & View servers, including troubleshooting for ClearCase operations.
  • Manage the setup and maintenance of ClearCase Multisite and associated configurations.
  • Perform installations, configurations, upgrades, patches, backups, and tuning of ClearCase environments.
  • Coordinate with global teams for implementation and operational activities.
  • Ensure proper integration between ClearCase and ClearQuest.
  • Define branching and merging strategies in line with the software development lifecycle.
  • Provide support across Unix and Windows platforms.
Key Skills and Experience:
  • Proficiency in IBM CCCQ, ClearCase, and ClearQuest (or Jira).
  • Extensive experience in the administration and maintenance of source control systems.
  • Strong knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and configuration management processes.
  • Experience working with both Unix and Windows operating systems.
