We are seeking an experienced Purchase Ledger Specialist to join our finance team and support our growing operations.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • **Invoice Processing**: Accurately process and code supplier invoices, ensuring they are matched to purchase orders and receipts.
  • **Supplier Payments**: Prepare and process supplier payments, including electronic funds transfers and cheque runs, ensuring all payments are made in a timely manner.
  • **Account Reconciliation**: Reconcile supplier statements to the ledger, investigating and resolving any discrepancies.
  • **Expense Management**: Manage and process employee expense claims, ensuring adherence to company policies.
  • **Queries and Communication**: Handle supplier queries promptly and professionally, building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.
  • **Record Maintenance**: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all purchase ledger transactions, ensuring compliance with company policies and audit requirements.
  • **Reporting**: Assist in the preparation of month-end reports and provide support during audits.

**Requirements and Qualifications**

  • Proven experience as a Purchase Ledger Specialist or in a similar finance role.
  • Strong knowledge of purchase ledger processes and accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to work.
